The School of Nursing (EENF) is an Academic Unit of the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL), created by Resolution No. 14/2019-CONSUNI/UFAL, April 9, 2019. It trains generalist nurses, masters in nursing and specialists in various areas of health.

It is based on scientific, humanistic and critical knowledge.

It is based on ethics; the principles and guidelines of the Unified Health System (SUS); and the articulation and inseparability of teaching, research and extension.

Promotes nursing care in the health-disease process of individuals, families, groups and communities at different levels of care within the SUS.

It has a political and structural commitment to paradigm shifts in the health sector to overcome the biological model; it understands health as a result of living conditions and citizenship rights.

It prioritizes humanized care, dialogue and social protection.

It develops research aimed at producing knowledge in nursing and the health of the population in its various forms.

It carries out extension projects to promote and improve the health conditions of the population.
